Understanding the Process

License Print Check Process

The license print check process tracks your Nepal driving license through DOTM's production pipeline. After completing medical examination, written test, and trial test, DOTM sends your data for smart card printing. Here's what happens:

Applied & Verified

Your license application is submitted and documents verified at the TMO.

Biometrics Captured

Photo and fingerprint biometric data is captured for the smart card.

Sent for Printing

DOTM sends batch data to the central printing facility.

Printed & Ready

Your smart card license is printed and dispatched to your office. Confirm via license print check.

Printing typically takes 2–8 weeks after trial test completion. Use our online license verification tool daily to track updates. Data is refreshed from the official DOTM website.

Emergency License · अत्यावश्यक

Emergency License Check Guide

An emergency license check (अत्यावश्यक लाइसेन्स जाँच) verifies the print status of urgent smart card licenses issued by DOTM for applicants with immediate professional needs — such as drivers, delivery personnel, or transportation operators who cannot wait for the standard printing cycle.

How to Check Emergency License Status

  • Go to the License Print Check section above
  • Tick the "Emergency (अत्यावश्यक) License" checkbox
  • Enter your license number and click Verify Now
  • Emergency license status is checked in a separate database

Emergency licenses are issued under special circumstances by the DOTM. The emergency license print check database is updated as frequently as standard licenses. If not found, contact your issuing TMO directly.
